Why Should You Go?

Piglet Bear Bay is one of Ithaca's hidden gems. Its calm, clear waters, natural beauty, and peaceful atmosphere make it the perfect getaway. Relax under the shade of the pine trees, swim in the crystal-clear turquoise waters, and experience an unforgettable vacation. It's ideal for those seeking a peaceful beach away from the crowds.

How to Get There?

Piglet Bear Bay is approximately ... km from Argostoli (you must specify the distance here). It's possible to reach it by car, but the final stretch of road can be a bit bumpy and narrow. For information about local bus schedules, please contact local bus companies or take a taxi. You can easily reach the location using GPS coordinates.

Why Should It Be Preferred?

Piglet Bear Bay offers a quieter and more secluded setting than other popular beaches, and its natural beauty and crystal-clear waters make it a popular choice. It's also an ideal spot for families, as the shallow waters allow children to play safely.

When to Go?

The best time to visit Ithaca is between May and September. During these months, the weather is warm and sunny, and the sea water is at an ideal swimming temperature. However, be aware that it can get more crowded during the summer months.

What are the possibilities?

At Piglet Bear Bay, beach chair and umbrella rentals are limited or unavailable. It's recommended that you bring your own umbrella and towel. There may not be any food or drink vendors nearby, so it's best to bring your own. Restrooms and showers at the beach may also be limited or unavailable.

Definitely worth a visit if you rent the boat.

CORRECT NAME: Kalos Limenas or Kalo Limani or Kalolimnioni. A quiet cove with a pebble beach (as the Ionian saying goes: take a sip). The fake place name shown on Google Maps (clearly recorded by an ignorant foreign tourist) has nothing to do with cute Disney cartoons! Administratively, it belongs to the Sami Municipality, DE Erisos (formerly Komitaton Community). Unfortunately, there is no road access, except by sea and a road from the adjacent settlement of Agia Sofia, but it was affected by the weather phenomenon "Ianos" in September 2020.

Erissa's iconic small, dreamy beach, surrounded by a magical and peaceful landscape. Access is only by boat. Its proper name is Kalo Limani or Kalolimioni (this unrelated name, Piglet Bay, is unclear as to where it originated or who inspired it). It's ideal for those seeking peace, relaxation, and true connection with nature.

A secluded beach accessible only by boat. We were alone when we arrived. The beach and seabed are mostly large rocks with sharp edges. The water is very calm. It's nice for swimming.
