Historical schools of thought (İskoliye schools) were private schools that provided a modern, Western-style education, primarily operating in the Ottoman Empire during the 19th century. These schools, acting as an alternative to traditional madrasah education, incorporated science, foreign languages, and new ideas into their curricula. İskoliye schools played a significant role in the Ottoman modernization process and contributed to the modernization of the elite's education.

It's a great place for walking and running. There's also a suitable path for cycling. The coastline offers beautiful views. Unfortunately, it does have a smell, a common feature of the Sea of Marmara, due to the seaweed. There are parks and sports areas along the coast. There are also picnic benches where you can barbecue and sit. There's also an occasional fountain. Some parts of the coast are rocky, while others are sandy, making it ideal for swimming during the warmer months.

There is no transportation problem. It is considered to be in the city center. It is suitable for long walks and runs, and there are picnic opportunities for families. The beach is not very good, but it is okay. Most importantly, the disabled and public restrooms that were added this year should be given more attention in terms of maintenance. The bridge over the stream should also be renovated urgently.
You can walk to the Walking Pavilion, which has become the symbol of the city, from the center.
If you say no, I don't want to walk, the municipality offers a free shuttle service with a golf cart.

With the new renovation, it's become somewhat more acceptable, but it still has many shortcomings. Restrooms and cleanliness are the primary ones. The renovation of the walking and bike paths is a good thing. It's a shame that the picnic tables under the trees are concrete; you freeze while standing on them.

It's a beautiful coastal road, starting at the İDO Ferry Terminal exit and leading to the Walking Mansion (Köşeler Köşk). It's closed to vehicles. Part of the road is a walking path, the other a bicycle path. While you'll see trees and walls with defiant graffiti on the land, you'll also see cats sheltering from the wind and seagulls clustered in the bushes along the shore. While the route can usually be explored in 25 to 30 minutes, it can easily take an hour if you just take in the beauty of it all. At the end of the road, after passing the Walking Mansion and turning right, there's a road connecting to the Courthouse. If you prefer to take a vehicle to the return point, you can go to the minibus stop after passing the Courthouse. I recommend that anyone visiting Yalova as a tourist take at least one walk to experience the natural beauty and breathe in the fresh sea air.

It's a quieter place most of the time in the summer, and sometimes there can be an irrelevant crowd, but overall I find it sweet and peaceful.
