It's an untouched and very quiet place, but there are a lot of flies in the evening.

This is where green and blue, sweet and soda flavors meet. The village's ancient name was Xorkom or Khorkom. (The village's name appears in Armenian sources and the Serefname.) The village belongs to the Ardzruni dynasty, which established a powerful kingdom in the region around 900 AD. What happened to the villagers after the collapse of the Urartu Kingdom (migration, exile?) is unknown, but there is a theory that they merged with Armenian tribes, originally from Phrygia. In 1917, when the Russian army withdrew its support from the Armenian local government, the village was evacuated, and a family from the Brukans, a prominent Kurdish tribe that had suffered a similar tragedy in the Caucasus, settled there. Although no structures remain today, it's clear that a mosaic society still lives according to ancient customs and traditions. When I visited, there was a sunken ferry on the shore. The reeds where the freshwater and soda lake waters meet, where you can catch both trout and pearl mullet, are both sweet and intimidating. Its castle has succumbed to incredible destruction by treasure hunters, remaining almost entirely as a pile of sand. This is a place where green and blue, sweet and soda flavors, meet.

There's a huge variety of birds. The reedbed also provides nesting areas for birds. A bird observation tower could be built there. The environment could be cleaner. For this, people who visit should take their trash with them.
