If you're going to swim in Urla, definitely go in at Çeşmealtı. The water's bottom is rocky but very clear. There are diving piers and ladders along the way.

I was very upset when we had to stay in Izmir for two days. It was the closest spot to the sea. However, there was a place there that occupied the entire beach and sea, charging 450 euros per person per winter, and it appeared to be owned by the municipality. I was very disturbed by this situation. The beach and sea belong to us. The municipality should provide certain services for the benefit of the people and, if necessary, at more affordable rates. There were no changing rooms or showers in the area where we went swimming. I was very upset. It felt like we had to pay 1500 euros as a family to go swimming every day. It's a shame for our country.

ÇEŞMEALTI BEACH has become quite beautiful thanks to last year's renovations. At least pedestrians have a wider walkway, and vehicles are now banned after 6 p.m. and are now one-way. Restaurant and cafe seating areas are more organized. The night market comes alive after 8 p.m., and the sea view is a plus.

I really recommend you to go to a place where you can visit without crowds and even swim in the water.

It's a quiet place, one of Urla's small coastal districts, with fishing boats, a few restaurants and cafes, but shopping options are limited; apart from a few three-letter markets, there seems to be no other options.
