Gündal Beach is a beach located in the Süleymanpaşa district of Tekirdağ, which stands out with its tranquility and natural beauty. Due to its proximity to the center and ease of transportation, this beach is frequently preferred by both locals and tourists, and is especially popular in the summer months.
You can easily reach there by buses departing from Tekirdağ center or by your private vehicles.

Barbaros Gündal Beach, with its wide sandy beach and calm sea, is a great boon, especially for families with children. The sand is soft, the sea shallow, and clean, perfect for a peaceful day. Basic amenities like showers, changing rooms, and restrooms are provided. Walking along the beach reminds me of my childhood days building sandcastles. Gündal Beach isn't just a summer retreat for me; it's a treasure trove of memories. Umbrella and sunbed rentals are also quite affordable. I recommend early morning to enjoy it without the crowds.
Gündal Beach is a quiet and clean beach in Tekirdağ. The sea is generally clean, but it can get algaey from time to time in the summer. Its 500-meter-long sandy shore makes it an ideal spot for families and groups of friends. Basic needs like showers, toilets, and changing rooms are available. There's also a kiosk and a market. You can rent sun loungers and umbrellas. Entry to the beach is free, but rental fees are charged. It's 12 km from Tekirdağ city center and can be reached by minibus. It can get crowded during peak summer seasons, but overall it's a nice beach.
We came to the peaceful beach that we always come to because of the Apache music of the beach club that opened on the beach in the summer of 2025, we could only stand it for 10 minutes and then left. As both an ordinary citizen and a former music director, this torture is unbearable.
It's crowded and far from the city center. Because it's next to Asyaport, there are a lot of trucks on the road and parked along the side of the road. The road feels a bit dangerous and scary. Of course, it's your decision...
A sunbed and umbrella cost 400 TL. This is quite reasonable compared to other cities. Because the water in Kumbağ has been frequently cut off this year, the beach restrooms are closed. I recommend going with the expectation that you won't be able to relieve yourself. I wouldn't recommend it for those seeking a pristine, seaweed-covered beach; you might experience discomfort. The sea isn't particularly rough, and the water temperature is pleasant.
