General Information and Transportation
The Serik coastline, particularly in Belek and Kadriye, is a region developed to international standards. However, there are also clean, public beaches with Blue Flag standards. Access to the beaches is quite easy, either by minibus from Serik city center or by private car. Parking is generally available.
1. Belek Public Beach
It's one of Serik's most central and popular public beaches. Its wide beach is made entirely of fine sand, and its shallow waters make it especially safe for families with children. The municipality offers affordable sunbed and umbrella rentals. Basic amenities like showers, changing rooms, and restrooms are available free of charge or for a nominal fee. It maintains high standards of cleanliness and order.
Important Note: There are walking paths and some sports fields right behind the beach.
2. Kadriye Public Beach
Known for its proximity to The Land of Legends, Kadriye has a quieter atmosphere than Belek. Kadriye Beach stands out with its clear waters and well-organized facilities. The beach is composed of sand and small pebbles. While part of the beach is used by hotels, a large area is open to the public. You'll find restaurants, cafeterias, and water sports activities here. It offers easy access and ample parking.
3. Boğazkent Public Beach
Located on the eastern edge of Serik, it's an ideal option for those seeking a more natural and peaceful experience. Boğazkent is also a key nesting ground for the loggerhead sea turtle. Therefore, certain sections of the beach are protected, and nighttime lighting is minimized. The beach itself is a mix of coarser sand and gravel than other beaches. Facilities aren't as dense as Belek, offering a more natural day. Bringing essentials is recommended.
