Historical water reservoirs are structures used in the past for the storage and distribution of water. While their materials and architecture varied depending on the period and region, they were generally constructed as underground cisterns or above-ground pools. These reservoirs played a crucial role in managing water resources and meeting the water needs of settlements, and today they are preserved as archaeological and historical heritage.

It's a small public beach with changing rooms.
There's no shower area. Looking out to sea means you're looking at the sun starting at 6:30 PM. With a headwind, the sea is slightly choppy and cloudy. When you enter, it's shallow. The shoreline is covered with sand. There are no sun loungers, only umbrellas. You can use your own chair for access. I wish everyone a pleasant holiday.

I deducted a star because the municipality doesn't have any services. Showers (15 TL) and toilets (10 TL) are paid, and the owner is currently closed and opens them whenever he or she wants. The sea is magnificent, there's sand, the A101, and Şok are neglected. In other words, the place is beautiful, but the municipality has practically forgotten about the services. I called the municipal police when I saw people lighting barbecues, but they didn't come; they're so insensitive. But when two or three caravaners arrive, they immediately come to tell them to remove the caravans, no offense to anyone. Our country is like Heaven, but if we work together, we can't hold a candle to anyone turning it into hell.

We were there this week, the fourth day of Eid al-Adha, with our family. Everyone's commented on social media posts promoting the place, but those who criticize it should continue towards Bodrum, so they don't confuse people. Those who are going, if you're respectful, you'll be respected. First, let me explain the route. You'll come along a straight, unpaved road like Kıyıkışlacık, and it's quite good for the area. After Kıyıkışlacık, the road is asphalted again, and it's quite good all the way to Iasos. After Iasos, you'll cross to the other side of the cape. First, there's an asphalt road with two or three sharp bends, climbing a gentle hill and then descending from there. It's approximately 10-15 km, including both the ascent and descent. Those traveling with a caravan should proceed with a little caution on this 10-15 km road. For caravan accommodation, there's the A101 on the beach. If you turn your back to the sea, there's a caravan site on the right.

I can't say for sure about tent camping. We went for the day, and there were tents left from the night before, but I think the gendarmerie arrived sometime in the afternoon and cleared them away. So, if you don't pitch your tent immediately but hold your spot, and then pitch it at night, it's a quick overnight stay. There are two beaches close to each other. There's a side in front of the caravan site I just described, and another side to the left connected by a sidewalk. For some reason, people generally prefer that side because of the palm trees, which provide nice shade until midday. I think people also tend to head that way when they see the shade in the morning, because I haven't noticed any difference. The sea and water in both places are equally beautiful. The water is crystal clear in the morning, and you can see fish swimming in it. Of course, as the hours pass, people naturally lift some of the sand, creating a slightly cloudy appearance.
The sea is approximately 35-40 meters deep, but it's only a normal person's height. Families with children can safely visit. Within walking distance are the A101, Şok, a tobacco shop, a gözleme (Turkish flatbread) and kokoreç (a type of flatbread) vendor, cafes, and restaurants. All of them are within a 5-minute walk. Nearby, there are boats on the far left, a mini hotel and a guesthouse, and the video shows a paid sunbed and umbrella. (Jasmin guesthouse on the map.) But for some reason, the sea there is rocky and grassy. Even if you prefer paid accommodation, an umbrella, and sunbeds, you should walk a minute or two to the right to where I shot the video and swim in this area, where both the sea and the beach are sandy. Sunbeds cost around 250-300 TL, so I don't think it's necessary. Go to the beach and set up your umbrella, have three beers for that money.

My recommendations for those interested in fishing are as follows: I've seen some grayling and some others caught along the 40-50 meter-long, sweet rocks between the two beaches. You can fish with Cyprus or single-hook bread, depending on your preference. Just past the boats on the far left of the beach, along the shoreline, I saw two friends casting baby jigs and catching a few sea bass. I can't speak for bait fishing, but if there are sea bass, there will be fish to catch with bait. The area is also ideal for spearfishing enthusiasts.

I'll say it again. This area is suitable for "PEOPLE." If you pick up your trash properly, move to a suitable distance and enjoy yourself instead of standing in front of people or placing selfish and disrespectful chairs or towels in front of them, blocking their view.

Have a nice holiday.

The beach is beautiful, there are free public showers, the only thing missing is no toilet. There are paid toilets at certain hours, and people take care of their toilet needs in the surrounding trees and bushes. The smell increases in the evening.

Because it's a 5-minute walk from our accommodation, we experienced every moment. If you're particularly interested in going, definitely avoid weekends or evenings. While the sea is calm, clear, and beautiful in the morning, by evening, the sand has lifted and the seaweed has washed ashore. While shade can be found in the morning under a shade tree or beach umbrella, it starts to get crowded in the afternoon. Weekends can be extra crowded and unsafe. There are both free and paid parking areas within walking distance. Just behind the beach, a few steps up, is a concentration of caravans and tents. This is probably why there are so many bees and flies, but they don't bother us too much. There are free changing rooms and showers in the same area. You might encounter plenty of cats and dogs on the beach, but they're all very calm, docile, and never bothersome. Most of the dogs are leashed. Finally, we couldn't see what the beach was like after dark because families of pigs roam the area. There are beaches at one end of the public beach. From what we've seen, they've posted a large sign saying that sunbeds are 200 TL and that bringing in outside food and drinks is prohibited. You'll see that when you arrive. Skip these places and reach the completely free public beach. The public beach and the beach are not separate; everyone who goes to the beach enters the same sea. Finally, the sunset and sunrise are magnificent; you should definitely catch them.
