We came here from 80 km away. It was a Monday, and we were there at 9:00. We felt like we were alone. We didn't go to the public beach. We stayed at the newly opened yellow beach resort, where they were very attentive and polite. The sea was crystal clear. We wanted to explore every corner of the sea with our snorkels and masks. It was one of the longest days we've spent at sea. Highly recommended.

The bay is beautiful, surrounded by green mountains. We arrived at noon and the water was quite clear and turquoise. However, it deepens quickly, reaching a depth of just 5 meters before it's gone, so non-swimmers might struggle, and I had a hard time myself. The water's clarity dropped around 2:30 in the afternoon. Also, the sea is incredibly salty, and my eyes burned. Definitely bring goggles. If you don't like your feet touching the rocks, it's a good idea to bring swim shoes. I saw small fish in the water. It's a naturally magnificent bay, but I can't say the same for the beach. If you don't park in the parking lot at the entrance and go down, they make you turn back. We were told it was a closed road, but many vehicles passed by during our time there. At the entrance, we were told the price for the sun loungers, which are not by the sea but a little further back, was 250₺. The price for the sun loungers, which were also not by the sea, was initially 500₺ per person, but we negotiated our way down to 300₺. It was also unpleasant for the owner to move our belongings without even asking us. In short, the scenery is beautiful, but the constant traffic is a bit of a letdown. Even though we arrived on a Sunday, it wasn't very crowded. We decided to come back while we're in Muğla, but I'm not sure I'll come back again.

It's one of the most beautiful bays I've ever experienced. The beautiful color the surrounding trees give the water, and the water's clarity are amazing. The public beach is a bit narrow and neglected. I believe this one has recently reopened to business. Unfortunately, the entire area is filled with beaches. It was a bit dusty due to road construction. The beach is small pebbles. The water gets deeper after 5-6 meters. It's ideal for non-swimmers and children. There are a few sea urchins. It's a good idea to wear water shoes. No matter which bay in Gökova Bay you visit, I definitely recommend snorkeling to better see the underwater beauty. There's access to this bay by car. However, unless you have a reservation at the beaches and accommodations here, they won't let you in. There's a parking lot on the right, 100 meters up from the bay. It costs 300 TL. They'll pick you up and take you to the bay by shuttle. If you prefer, there are plenty of available spots on both sides of the bay. Of course, arriving early in the morning will give you a better and more comfortable spot for both you and your vehicle.

EXPERIENCED GUIDE

About 80-100 meters before the bay entrance, you can park your car at the Forestry Directorate's parking lot on the right, which costs 300 TL per day. They'll take you to the bay with a free shuttle if you don't want to take a ride. The bay is a five-minute walk away. The public beach is about 80-100 meters long, and all the other areas are privately owned. There are no showers or restrooms. This is wonderful, crystal clear water. It deepens suddenly after the first 4-5 meters. If you walk the first four or five meters without shoes, you might encounter sea urchins and other sources. After 5 meters, it deepens suddenly, and it's all sandy. It's worth visiting just to see the sea. However, the municipality needs to invest in the public beach. You can bring whatever you want, including chairs, food, and drinks.

We arrived from Dalaman in about 1.5 hours. It's 88 km. The last 25 km is a mountainous road parallel to the sea. If you're facing a caravan or tractor-style vehicle, you'll be in trouble. We somehow made it to the bay. Parking is 300 TL, and you pay 50 TL per person for showers and toilets at private establishments, which you use with your voucher for the entire day. Unfortunately, there's no prayer area here either. Still, I pray to God because we live in a Muslim country. I asked one of the owners to help me pray on the railing of a tiny house. The water is beautiful and crystal clear. If you have sensitive feet, bring your swim shoes. Various establishments offer menus ranging from 250 TL to 500 TL. Apparently, you have to arrive early to secure a spot on the beach. When a spot became available, we set up on the beach.
