The sea isn't clean, showers are a problem, etc. The municipality needs to take action. If you want to ingest a lot of microplastic, definitely come here.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO SWIMMING IN MERSIN!!! When we went to the beach, concerned citizens warned us not to go in; some people had cut their feet and even injured their knees, which caused bleeding. We said, "We're from Ankara, so let's not leave without swimming," but of course, we understood what the people were saying when we got in the water. The beach was full of plastic pieces. We took showers, came home, and still had pieces of plastic on our skin until we got home and thoroughly cleaned it with shower gel! My wife and I were good swimmers, so we figured if we dived in, our feet wouldn't hit the rocks, and indeed, that's what happened. But that's when a rock hit my knees, and that's when I realized. We were moving slowly again, and the rocks were slipping because they were covered in seaweed. We managed to get out, but the sand had receded, so the water still didn't reach our height. It was salty, extremely dirty, and you could accidentally swallow plastic! We brought our swim goggles, but the water is so cloudy with dirt that you can't see anything. It was the worst beach I've ever seen. I will never go to Mersin again.

Soli Beach is supposedly public. They charge 500 TL for two sun loungers and an umbrella. Where is the municipality here? The person demanding the money is already the most prominent person. The chatter, etc., is completely out of place. There are showers and changing rooms, but they're neglected and surrounded by straw. The beach is generally rocky and unkempt. Think 10 times before visiting a substandard beach...

It's fun to watch this volleyball team play here every day. But the beach could be cleaner.

We came here and we won't be back. We paid 200 TL for the parking fee. However, while the beach doesn't look too dirty, the sea is rocky and awful. It's only about 2 meters deep and then it's rocky. Be prepared for foot bleeding. We didn't like it and are leaving.
