I went, I saw, I experienced it. But I'll never go again. Someone has parceled out the beach, and you're not even allowed to put a chair there. If they weren't ashamed, they'd tell you not to swim. When I asked where we should put our chair, he pointed to the garbage dump. They've made the part with the garbage a public beach. What a blessing, isn't it? That's how much we value as citizens. Note: By the way, I thought there would be fine sand, but it wasn't sand; the walkway and beach are made of stones that sting your feet. My suggestion is to wear water shoes.

We stopped by on our way to Selimiye and went for a swim. Parking can be a problem. It gets crowded in the afternoon and midday. It's especially crowded when jeep safari tours arrive. You can swim near the Maiden statue and walk for a long time. It's best to wear sturdy sandals, or you can walk barefoot. The depth along Maiden's Sand doesn't exceed 70 cm. You can go all the way to the edge and take videos and photos. You can also swim in the deeper waters next door. The view is beautiful, and the water is warm but not overwhelming. You can eat and drink at the cafes on the way out.

In Orhaniye, just to the right, there's a free public beach. There's a long, 30-centimeter-deep walkway that divides the sea into two, allowing you to see fish swimming in the water. There are showers and toilets. Showers are 10 TL, toilets are 20 TL. Both close after 6 p.m. Those who want to see it can skip the line if they arrive after 4 p.m. It's very crowded in the earlier hours.

This unique beach, 4 meters wide and 600 meters long, allows you to walk on the sea.
Kızkumu Beach is located in the village of Orhaniye. Located approximately 35 kilometers from the city center, this unique natural wonder can be reached by car or by daily boat tours. Jeep safari tours also visit this area, allowing you to make time for a swim.
You can park your car on the roadside. Restrooms, changing rooms, sunbeds, and umbrellas are charged. We paid 600 lira for two sunbeds and an umbrella. The restroom costs 20 lira. A beach shop has converted its warehouse into a changing room and is charging 10 lira per person. The people renting umbrellas and sunbeds are as rude as if they came from another universe. I'm ashamed of our country. Tourists will see these people and make negative comments about all of us. There were cigarette butts and trash on the beach. This beautiful beach is about to become polluted. We picked up the trash around us. We must be more sensitive so our children can experience this beauty. Please don't leave our trash in nature.

1. Overcrowding: The beach can get overcrowded, especially during the summer and holidays. This disrupts the peace and leads to congestion in the walking area.

2. Limited Swimming Area: The beach's most striking feature, the walkable sand path running down the middle, doesn't actually offer much swimming space. You can't venture far from the shore, as the water is generally knee-deep. This can be a disappointment for those looking to swim.

3. Cleaning Problems: Some visitors complain about cleaning problems such as insufficient trash cans, especially in the summer months, and the accumulation of waste such as bottles and cigarette butts on the shore.

4. Parking and Transportation Problems: The lack of parking spaces is a serious problem for those traveling to Kızkumu Beach by private vehicle. Vehicles are parked haphazardly on the narrow roads, causing traffic congestion.
• Access to public transport is limited.

5. High Prices: Prices of cafes and restaurants in the area are often higher than those in tourist areas, and there is criticism that they do not match the service quality.

6. Not Suitable for Those Expecting Silence: The atmosphere is often noisy due to daily tours and crowds of locals and foreigners. It's not suitable for those seeking silence and a glimpse into nature.

7. Deterioration of the Natural Structure: Over time, the area surrounding the sand road has begun to be concreted over, and the number of structures damaging the surrounding natural fabric has increased. This has been criticized by some nature enthusiasts.

8. Commercialization of the Legend: The mythological story of Kızkumu (the princess trying to cross the sea by throwing sand into it) has been turned into a touristic advertising element, which is seen as “artificiality” by some visitors.
