It is close to Istanbul, its beach is wide, its sea is clean and beautiful, of course don't expect the Aegean Sea, this is Marmara.
We went today and the crowd was normal, not too much, but the sea was awful, with seaweed in the water and burnt seaweed on the beach. The water was very wavy, and the umbrellas were never standing still. No matter how far you go, the sea is always rocky, making it very difficult to walk.
They charge 400 lira for parking, and if you bring a tent, there's a separate fee. The beach is completely filled with camping tents. You have to pay 20 lira for each toilet use and 50 lira for the shower. Furthermore, when we went, the sewage from the toilet was flowing down the entire staircase. There was no place to step and it smelled terrible. The toilets were also dirty, and the showers were very bad. The sea was only swimmable in certain areas. There were always huge stones and rocks on the sides, so everyone gathered in the middle of the beach. It was nice to swim in the morning, but by noon, it was so thick with seaweed that it was impossible to get through. Overall, it wasn't a very pleasant experience.
There is not enough space to park a vehicle. There are two empty lots. The parking mafia has collapsed. The parking fee is 400 lira. They don't issue receipts. The municipality is sleeping on its feet.
If you go in summer, it can be crowded. If you go out of season, it's a quiet, beautiful place to relax and swim. For those who want to fish, September is more suitable. There's a nice purr. It's very appropriate that the road along the beach be closed to vehicles. Otherwise, anyone who wants to get away will come. The restrooms are a bit of a hassle, but you can use the nearby caravan park. There's a 20 TL fee.
