We'd previously visited Gerze, passing through Sinop, but this time we thoroughly explored it, as it was the main attraction. Gerze is a cittaslow city (slow city). It's so quiet and peaceful that people work and live peacefully, without any hustle and bustle. The coast is beautiful. The pier is famous for its mosque and cafes, fire houses, and dolphins. There's a public beach with showers, and there are also private beaches. It's a must-see.
The sea and the area are magnificent for Gerze. But it could be improved further. For example, they could make the road more beautiful. Because the debris and dust always get in your way as the cars pass by. It's never pleasant. Also, I wish there were more sand instead of stones for such a beautiful place. There were always stones and a lot of crabs in the water, so I recommend being careful. The straw I was in was also full of jellyfish, and it really hurts when you touch it. You can feel the pain when you touch it while swimming. Also, there should be a fence around the entire area. There aren't many businesses nearby. I recommend bringing everything you need. You can light a barbecue or samovar. The area is suitable for this, but since the floor is stone, I recommend bringing your own table and chairs.
I'm calling out to the Gerze Municipality. Instead of dealing with construction, please do your job and leave the construction work to contractors. Conduct inspections. Clean up the beaches, the sea, and the trash on the shore.
It's a wonderful beach. The best in Sinop and Gerze. It gets deeper after about 20 meters. Hello, the water is very clean. Around 4:00 PM, it gets cloudy and jellyfish swarm. There's a spot under the viaduct further on. It's cleaner, but it deepens quickly at 4:5 meters, but there are no jellyfish there. Everyone has a good time during the day. There are no nonsense people. It's an 80% family-friendly environment with children. The beach is backed by stone walls, not a street or alley. There are no annoying eyes, and there's no feeling of being watched.
