The sand is wonderful, feeling as fine as silk underfoot. The beach is run by the municipality, and sunbeds are a very reasonable 100 TL. There's a municipal cafe on the beach. The cafe offers a wide variety of beverages, including beer, hot and cold coffee, and the prices are quite reasonable for a summer beach. The sea water is very clean, a welcome relief after the hot waters of Saros. The seabed is sandy, and even on a crowded Sunday, the seabed was crystal clear.

Gelibolu is a pleasant and charming area with its Hamzakoy Beach and beachside cafes. There's a sandy beach where you can swim from seven in the morning until eight or nine in the evening. Just off the coast road are cafes, a market, and further along, boutique hotels and a beach restaurant where you can dine. Parking is available on the road, but not enough. However, the views are magnificent, and the sight of cargo and passenger ships, along with the occasional sailboat, passing through the Bosphorus is a delightful sight.

Hamzaköy beach was completely sandy and had pristine water when we visited. Everything you could want is available along the beach. There are shaded picnic tables, changing rooms, and all the necessary equipment. Walking paths, cafes, and markets line the beach. The sand has been cleaned by the municipality, and there wasn't a speck of litter. It's perfect for children; it doesn't get deep. I'd definitely come back again. I loved it. 5/5

It's a wonderful place, especially in July, with a wonderful sea. It's also easily accessible from the city center, with a free beach and a clean beach. I highly recommend it. :)

First of all, we should talk about Gallipoli.
Gallipoli itself is a place worth visiting.
It's a cute town. I don't think it's as famous(!) as it deserves.
After getting off the ferry, you should visit the War Museum and the Piri Reis Museum.
Afterwards, you should either have soup at Koca Usta or fish sandwich at Gelibolu Balıkçısı :)
You should also visit the Gallipoli Lighthouse, the Bayraklı Baba tomb, which is very close to the lighthouse, and the French and Russian cemeteries.
There are more tombs, historical buildings and mosques in the district than I have yet to count.
.
And of course the walking path that stretches along the Dardanelles is exquisite.
The promenade, which starts right from the fishermen's place, extends to Hamzakoy beach (2 km). There are pleasant places along the promenade.
.
HAMZAKOY Beach
I stayed here for four nights. I had the opportunity to both visit Gallipoli and swim in the sea.
.
My impression is exactly like this: I have been going to holiday destinations in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions for nothing until now.
Come to Gallipoli and don't let your wallet or yourself suffer (Gallipoli is a cheap city)
.
The sea is wonderful. It's quite warm. Don't think the Dardanelles will be cold. Sometimes you might have to go ashore to cool off. :)
.
The sea is also shallow, making it a comfortable spot for families with children.
There are plenty of facilities around the beach, as well as #Şok market #Migros #A101 nearby.
.
Part of the beach is covered with sun loungers. That part is owned by the operator. However, 1 umbrella and 2 sun loungers are 100 TL (July 2025 price). Water is 10 TL (July 2025 price) in the same facility. WC and shower are free. 5 TL in paid areas. :)
.
You'd be surprised to find that the municipality has built so many different shades outside the facility.
.
CARAVAN
A few places have banned #caravans due to the caravaners that have sprung up after the pandemic.
As they did everywhere they went, they polluted this place, disturbed the surroundings, came and did not leave for months.
Caravans are no longer allowed in the park at the top of the bay, except for day trips.
.
On the other hand, since the people are relaxed, you can park your caravan somewhere around the beach and enjoy both the beach and Gallipoli.
.
TENT
Because of the holiday makers who emerged after the pandemic, this place, like everywhere else, is not suitable for #tents.
There is no place, the suitable places are strictly controlled, it is forbidden
.
In conclusion, Gelibolu and Hamzakoy beach should be on your #travelroute
.
