The entrance fee is a reasonable 180 TL, but once you get to the bottom, the beach operator demands 1000 TL for a sunbed. Once you get to the public side, it's a tiny area, practically shutting out the public. You're trying to swim through a massive boulder-lined area. I've emailed the National Parks Directorate, but I don't know if they'll get back to me.
It was one of the most beautiful bays I've ever enjoyed swimming in. I've been coming here for years, but it's deteriorating more and more each year. The sea is still beautiful, but the public area has practically disappeared. Sunbeds cost 1000 TL, and vehicle entry is 180 TL. The businesses are a disgrace, the staff rude, and their manners inappropriate. While it may look beautiful, it's now become a dirty and disturbing place. Its natural beauty has been ruined.
It's a beautiful bay. It's typical, taken over by hotels and businesses. There's a split on this issue. Those who say, "There are businesses, so we can get clean and high-quality service, and the bay stays clean," and those who ask, "Why isn't the bay completely left to the public?" Let me briefly summarize and give information to those who will go in 2025… Parking fee is 180 TL per vehicle. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can take buggies to the shore for free. The coast is divided into 3… The best places are the hotel and the hotel's beach The third section is a free public beach, the sandy part is good, but the front side is piled with stones. Furthermore, while the other sections were clean, the sea was dirty. Perhaps it was a special occasion. There is a spending requirement of 150 Euros per person at the hotel beach… The other beach establishment has a spending requirement of 2500 TL per person… The public beach side is free, but there is no WC or cafe/buffet type facility. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry gave the management to the private sector, but turned a blind eye to the public side remaining untouched and unserviced in order to encourage people to visit the beaches…
I definitely recommend it. The entrance fee is 180 TL. You park your car and walk for about five minutes along a beautiful, tree-lined path to the beach. We went with our camping chairs. The public beach is quite large. The entrance to the sea on the public side is marked by large rocks, so I recommend bringing water shoes. There are plenty of fish in the area around the rocks, and if you have a snorkel, swimming with them is very enjoyable. There are privately owned sun loungers on the sandy side of the beach, and you can swim there too. Swimming there was also very enjoyable. The sea was calm and clear.
Absolutely do not come! PLEASE READ IMPORTANT! We've been coming to Fethiye for seven years, and every time we did, we'd come to Günlüklü, but this year, we were truly disappointed. We've seen once again how the country values tourists over citizens, and how nature is being destroyed for the sake of profit. It's truly awful. You pay 180 lira for a vehicle to enter the national park, and then 1,000 lira for the beach below. There used to be a privately owned section, but there was plenty of space for public use. Now, they've first poured sand into the beautiful, stony sea, and then taken the rocks and piled them up on the public beach side. The entrance is so dangerous, the stones are huge, and people slip, and I've seen people fall. The public beach area is only about a fifth of the size. They've poured sand into the previously rocky sea, turning it into a disgrace. The crystal-clear water is incredibly cloudy, and it's clear that waste is being dumped into the water because it's filled with white stuff resembling the beginnings of mucilage. This is truly a disgrace, this is unacceptable. You don't value the people in this country, and you don't value nature at all. It's truly a shame!
