Yeniceköy Monastery
Yeniceköy Monastery

Yeniceköy Monastery is a historic Greek Orthodox monastery located in the Şile district of Istanbul. Though believed to have been built in the 18th century, the monastery, although now in ruins, retains traces of Byzantine architecture. Due to its historical and cultural significance, preservation efforts are ongoing.

We came for caravan camping, everything was perfect and without any problems. You can take care of water, market etc. The view, sea and beach are superb.

However, the ladybug infestation during the daytime surpasses the mosquito infestation at night. Don't just say, "We'll do this and we'll handle that." They're definitely winning this battle. Imagine dozens of insects or flies landing on you at the same time. This is the first time I've seen a ladybug bite.

I guess this place, which we came to out of season, is the same in summer. Dirt, mountains of garbage. Unfortunately, it has its share of those who eat, drink and throw the rest out the window of their vehicles. Another one of our corners of paradise.

Enez is a must-see place. The sea cleans itself, but there's one problem: mosquitoes abound. Even though there's no pesticide spraying due to the paddy fields, I didn't see anything. I went this year and the sea is truly pristine. Let's tell the mayors here, too. Let's take care of Enez. Do a thorough cleaning and be more helpful to people. You sit there as mayor and say, "Let's help you, the people who voted for us," but you show no interest. Enez is a place closest to Europe, near the Ipsala border. Both the people and our people are valued. Let's take care of Enez, mayors. I strongly urge you to clean, throw away garbage, and provide services here. Publish this and share it with everyone on their pages. At least let our voices be heard and heard so that people can work and provide services. Thank you.

I didn't see as many mosquitoes and ladybugs as claimed. I left in the evening, but they might have arrived at night, so I don't want to mislead you. The sand and sea were beautiful and clean, and the water was clear and not cloudy. There are toilets and showers for a fee, belonging to the adjacent beach, but I don't know how long they're open. Otherwise, it seems like camping is possible. Parking is free and not a problem. It can get a bit crowded on weekends.

We went on June 22nd.
The beach wasn't too dirty.
They said you can use the umbrellas of the public beach, but the business next to it charges a fee.
If you use the public beach, you can use the shower and sink for 45 TL and 25 TL, respectively. (The toilet also serves as a cabin.)
The sea was crystal clear but cold, even after the heating was turned off, there was still wind, we were so cold that we didn't go in again and turned back, but there was another big problem: LADYBUGS.

There are so many of them. They don't run away, afraid of movement like flies. They come here brazenly, for no reason. I've heard mosquitoes before, so I brought baking soda coffee and lit them, but they didn't bother me. We were very uncomfortable.
I took the photo first and then they covered the entire black bag.
