Alternatively, you can take a taxi or bus. Bus stops are located at various points throughout the city, and you can get off at a stop near the beach. If you are coming by car, there are a few parking spots near the beach, but finding a space might be challenging, especially during the summer months.

Why Choose Sveti Jakov Beach?

Sveti Jakov Beach offers a calmer and less crowded atmosphere compared to other Dubrovnik beaches. The pebbly beach is ideal for swimming, with clear and clean waters. Surrounded by cliffs and small coves, it's a perfect choice for those seeking privacy. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for rent. When to Go?

Sveti Jakov Beach is ideal from May to September. During these months, the weather is warm and sunny, and the sea is warm enough for swimming. However, the beach might be more crowded during the peak summer months. If you prefer a quieter experience, June or September are good options. For lower prices and fewer crowds, consider the shoulder seasons (May and September).

This is a nice beach bar on a pebbly beach. Beer was €5. It's about a 30-minute walk from the center of Dubrovnik's old town, with a few stone steps leading down to the beach. The water is crystal clear. Safe for swimming. A perfect sunset at 7:00 PM in June.

A hidden gem next to Dubrovnik's larger beaches, but this was the best! It's a steep 5-minute descent down various stairs from the top of the old town, but it's totally worth it. It has beautiful azure waters, sun loungers to rent for €25 (all with an umbrella), a bar and restaurant, and great music playing all day. It looks crowded, but there's plenty of room for everyone. We're so glad TikTok helped us find it!
