It has a wonderful sea and beach. It wasn't overcrowded. The umbrella and sunbed rental fees are reasonable. However, the beach is full of trash, and the private institutions and the municipality that run the facilities are indifferent. There's also dust and smoke due to infrastructure work. I don't think it's due to a lack of knowledge of the procedures. I've concluded this by considering it as a system and... issue.
We were there for two days in the first week of September. The weather was partly cloudy, and the view was beautiful. :) The sea water was warm, so I didn't like the cold, so I went in easily. It was clean. It deepens quickly. I liked the sand because it wasn't too fine and didn't stick to me. It's a large beach, so you can easily find a spot. We paid 80 TL for a sunbed and umbrella (2 sunbeds and a large umbrella). It was enjoyable.
I didn't swim, but the free area is a great spot to set up a table and chairs and watch the sunset. It's located on the waterfront and within walking distance of the city center. There are also cafes, restaurants, and markets nearby.
It's a 20-kilometer-long, average-sized Blue Flag beach, accessible by beach or by bringing your own sunbed and umbrella. But the water gets dirty in the afternoon. We didn't really like it. In the evening, the place is a hubbub of bars and cafes, and people are in high spirits.
The sea is not clean. Two sun loungers and an umbrella cost 500 TL. However, the service is inadequate. WC is 15 TL, shower is 30 TL, cabin is 15 TL. Turkish coffee is tasteless. The umbrella was a good size. The fries were also delicious. The rest was just okay. It's not a place I'd ever want to go to again.
