We've been going there as a family in the summers for over 10 years. It's a shallow, relatively calm beach. However, it's worth noting that there's a high mortality rate due to the strong undercurrent. It used to be a more secluded beach, but as it became more popular, it became quite crowded. The locals and stray animals are incredibly friendly. I highly recommend a visit.

Before coming to İğneada, we visited the "İğneada Longoz Forests." We loved it. İğneada is a town on the Black Sea coast of Thrace, part of the Demirköy district of Kırklareli. It has a 22-kilometer-long beach. It's 26 km from the district and 100 km from Kırklareli city center. We stayed at a lovely boutique hotel. It was a wonderful experience. It's 165 km from Edirne and 250 km from Istanbul. Visit the İğneada Lighthouse. Visit the village of Beğendik on the Bulgarian border to see the border crossing.

When we went, there was almost no wind. The sea was calm, but it became a little choppy towards evening. In mid-June, the sea temperature was perfect for swimming. The beach was crowded, but we arrived late, and it was a holiday. The beach is very close to the center, and there are tea gardens and shops for your needs. There's a sink in the nearby park. The sea doesn't get deep quickly, and it's sandy. It's a suitable spot for children and non-swimmers. I recommend it.

The beach is quite long, with public beaches, privately owned beaches, and beaches belonging to private complexes lined up. You can either take your own umbrella or rent a sun lounger or umbrella. The sea's color is captivating, and the beach is lined with small pebbles. The sea gets choppy at times, allowing for occasional swimming. While you wouldn't come from far to enjoy the sea, it's a beautiful spot for those who prefer a nearby location.

The Black Sea's rough waves are also prevalent here. There are businesses where you can rent sun loungers, but you can also bring your own umbrella. If you're not going to the facilities, you can park your car in the side streets near the beach. The kids had a blast jumping over the waves. Lifeguards are constantly making announcements to warn those who are ready to go.
