We went on the second day of Eid al-Adha. Oh my God, it's incredibly crowded, maybe because of the holiday or something. There's no place to pitch a tent; everything is packed. We found a spot and pitched our tents. There's trash everywhere. We tell the entrance staff that the trash needs to be collected. We're going to sleep here, and they don't care. The POS machine at the entrance is broken, and they send us to a model and tell us to bring a receipt. They say if it goes past 12:00, they'll cut off your stay. They only care about the money they're going to get; they're all in the mood to get the money so they can do whatever they want inside. Customer satisfaction is zero. We've been here twice before, but not this much. I don't plan on coming again.
Çilingoz Nature Park is a nature park as its name suggests, but unfortunately, it is the insensitive and thoughtless people who are deteriorating this beautiful environment. I recommend you go during the week, at least go on Friday evening and return on Saturday evening, it will be very crowded on the weekends and you will not be able to feel comfortable. The sea in the Black Sea is often wavy, but the left side of the beach, facing the rocks, is more beautiful and clean. The facility is doing its best to accommodate. There's no phone signal, there's Wi-Fi in the cafes, and if you have a cup of tea, you can ask for the password. We didn't feel it was necessary. .
The water is crystal clear, but there's no proper shower area once you get out. There's a shower area at the campsite, but it says shampoo isn't allowed. The daily fee for a four-person car is 750₺. There's no phone signal there. Although the water is crystal clear, there are small insects that bite you constantly. The farther up the mountains you go, the more you can swim in the water. The best part is the cage where you can play bow and arrow. I was really happy about that, but the price doesn't quite match the service you receive. That's clear. There's also a lake there, and they fish there.
First of all, the bay is beautiful, but there's a toll booth at the entrance, and there's no other escape route. The car fee is 430 TL, and other fees, etc., are increasing. As I've seen in the images, the beach is filthy, and the rocky area smells of urine. People may be dirty, of course, but if they're charging this much, it should be spotlessly clean and inspected. The Regional Directorate of Forestry and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (I saw the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality pick up the garbage in the afternoon) have been grossly negligent. During the summer months, you can contact GSM operators and request a portable base station. Lines are weak when you go out into the open from the bay's rocks, and portable stations can repeat signals openly. (There's visibility.) In other words, since it's a forest area, the Regional Directorate of Forestry should provide the necessary facilities.
The road after the chestnut orchard, that is, 45 km, is very narrow and bumpy. In some places, two vehicles can't even pass each other. The business owners are completely clueless. The people who understand understand. The staff inside think they're the FBI. But the jargon is Sarıgöl. The campground is crowded, dark, and full of junkies. The restrooms are filthy and inadequate. There's no hot water. There are markets and cafes, but the prices are reasonable. Internet and phone reception are weak. You can get a cup of tea and a password from the cafe for 40₺, but it's very slow because it's crowded. The clarity and temperature of the sea are nothing like the Black Sea; it's beyond amazing. Paying 1230₺ a day just for the sea is ridiculous. By the way, it's like a hotel room for 790₺ until noon. Also, half the people there are Afghans, half Syrians. It's great to see three Turks together. But they're not the type who come on vacation with a family mentality. It was a camp I'll never forget. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say God saved them.
