Mogren Beach in Budva is one of the best beaches in Montenegro and is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, soft pebbled sand, and stunning cliff views. Nestled among striking rock formations, it offers the perfect blend of relaxation and natural beauty. The beach is divided into two sections: the more popular Mogren 1 and the slightly quieter Mogren 2, located a short walk away. Both sections offer a wonderful beach experience, with clear, turquoise waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. **Directions:** To reach Mogren Beach, head towards Budva Old Town and walk along the city walls until you see a pedestrian path heading off to the right. Follow this scenic coastal walkway for about five minutes, and you'll reach the beach. If Mogren 1 is crowded, continue a little further to reach Mogren 2, which is usually less crowded. For the best experience, we recommend arriving early in the morning to secure a spot, as the beach fills up quickly during peak season. You can rent umbrellas and sun loungers for shade. The water here is refreshingly cold, so be prepared for a cool swim. Flip-flops are recommended, as the pebbles can be uncomfortable to walk on barefoot. Facilities include pay toilets and handy outdoor showers for washing up after swimming. If you're looking for extra entertainment, bring beach toys or inflatables to splash in. Nearby, you'll find small beach bars selling drinks and snacks, but it's also a good idea to bring your own food and drinks. With its breathtaking views and well-maintained facilities, Mogren Beach is a must-see for anyone exploring Budva.

The beach itself is truly stunning, with beautiful pebbles and crystal-clear water. However, it's incredibly crowded about 90% of the time, making it impossible to enjoy your time there; unfortunately, a less crowded beach in the area would have been a better option.

We visited Mogren Beach around noon in midsummer, and it was incredibly crowded. We walked all the way from the old Budva town center to Mogren 2 Restaurant, along a gorgeous, well-paved path right by the water—the walk itself is definitely worth the journey. Once there, you'll see that the beach is mostly fine pebbles and gravel, but there are wooden paths to make it easier to get around. Sun loungers, chairs, and umbrellas are available for rent (€20–€30 per person, depending on the row you choose). There are also lockers for valuables, several restaurants, and places to buy drinks. We sat near the rocks instead of renting a sun lounger, as it was very crowded. A big tip: bring water shoes—walking on the rocks can be painful. The water temperature was typical of the Adriatic in summer: refreshing and perfect for cooling off. Overall, Mogren Beach is a beautiful place with plenty of amenities, but finding a spot during peak summer periods can be frustrating. If you're not a fan of crowds, it's worth a visit for the views, clear water, and lively atmosphere.
