If there's no wind, the sea is beautiful and crystal clear. But if there's wind, it gets very cloudy. It doesn't deepen quickly; it's shallow, but the bottom is rocky, so you shouldn't swim barefoot. I wouldn't recommend swimming from areas other than the beach, as there's a lot of seaweed. Only the beach area is clean. The good thing is that Ayvalık beaches are generally cold, but this one is quite warm, like the Mediterranean.
I don't know what it's called. It's an area we discovered by chance on our way to Devil's Table. It's within Ayvalık Nature Park. There are also swimming spots. The forest and sea are intertwined. The sea is beautiful. There was seaweed a little further from where we were. But I don't think it was a problem for those who entered. It's a clean, quiet place, and should be left that way. Some people seem to have drunk it with other parts of their body, not their mouths.
It has a very beautiful beach. It's great.
We set up a tent one day and had a wonderful day. It got a little windy that evening, so we had dinner inside the tent. There's great parking, and you can pitch a tent right next to it, overlooking the sea.
a very beautiful bay Especially the 300-400 meters northwest side of this point is more beautiful the entrance is rocky, the water is clear You can see the fish The second best beach in Ayvalık that I've seen (the first is Cleopatra, and Ortunç Bay is probably nice too, but I couldn't see it; the gendarmerie had closed it. I think there was a forest fire in July 2024). We were there in September 2024 There aren't many facilities around I suggest you go prepared, bring a chair and food/drinks.
