Alanya Beach Guide

Alanya, the pearl of the Mediterranean, is home to unique beaches where history and nature embrace. Here are some of this beautiful city's most popular beaches and features.

Cleopatra Beach (East Side)

Located west of Alanya and named after the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra, this beach is the first place that comes to mind when Alanya is mentioned. It's famous for its fine, golden sand and clear turquoise waters. The sea just in front of the beach starts shallow but deepens after a few steps. Awarded the Blue Flag, Cleopatra offers excellent water sports and diving opportunities. The beach extends from just below Alanya Castle and is within walking distance of the city center.

Damlatas Beach

It's located at the start of Cleopatra Beach, right next to the famous Damlataş Cave. Despite its small size, it's extremely popular and boasts the fine sands of Cleopatra. This area, where the cave's thermal and fresh air are felt, is particularly popular with asthma sufferers. Umbrella and sunbed services are well-developed, and it's a central location for the beach.

Keykubat Beach

Located on the east side of Alanya Castle, Keykubat Beach is longer and wider than Cleopatra. It consists mostly of sand and small pebbles. Keykubat is generally known for being less crowded, with walking paths and parks along the beach. The sea is generally calm and suitable for swimming. Most of the hotels in the city center are located near this beach.

Incekum Beach (Avsallar)

It's located in the Avsallar region, approximately 25 kilometers from Alanya city center. As its name suggests, it boasts the finest sand in the region. The water is quite shallow and doesn't deepen for a long distance, making it ideal for families with children and beginner swimmers. Incekum is also known for its natural beauty and picnic areas shaded by pine trees. Despite its dense development, it has managed to preserve its natural beauty.

Ulas Beach

It's a small, hidden cove on the Alanya-Antalya highway, 5-6 kilometers from the city center. Tucked away among the cliffs, Ulaş boasts a natural and peaceful atmosphere. Also used as a picnic and relaxation area, the beach is often frequented by locals on weekends. The sea is crystal clear and the surroundings are well-maintained. It's an ideal getaway for those seeking tranquility.

Alanya's beaches offer a variety of options to suit everyone. Whether you're looking for a lively central beach or a quiet cove, you're sure to find what you're looking for in Alanya.
