First of all, if you're looking for a sunny two-week holiday, Agadir in July or August isn't the place. We had plenty of days where it was completely foggy or misty, with no sun at all. But it was great fun watching the kids play football every morning, and the lifeguards were fantastic.

It's a beautiful sandy beach that stretches for miles, but... and here's some crucial information for anyone visiting: * There were no showers (at the time of our visit), not even working water taps for visitors or nearby hotel guests to clean up. We walked back to the hotel covered in sand from head to toe. It wasn't a very pretty sight. The small changing area and showers on the beach opposite McDonald's were unusable - they looked like they had been out of service for a long time. A few days later, on an evening walk, we found toilet facilities near the public information building. These appeared to have showers, but these were at least 400 metres from our hotel beach area and not visible from our position. We couldn't find out whether they were free or charged. There was no information about this on the promenade or inside the hotel. There were no clear or visible signs anywhere. The TUI (our travel agency) representative didn't mention any of this either. * The areas designated for hotels and sold as private beach areas by hotels and tour operators are all poorly maintained and in serious need of improvement! * There are beggars along the beach strip where the restaurants are. I don't think it's a problem for most people, and they usually go away when you say "la shukran" (no thanks) or use the universal hand gestures to say no. *There's a McDonald's, KFC, and a few other restaurants in one section, and there were a lot of neglected and empty buildings at the time of our visit. *We visited during the last week of May, and things seemed much quieter than we'd anticipated. The overall beach scene wasn't as busy as we'd imagined based on the numerous travel videos/vlogs we'd watched before our visit. Things started getting busier around June 1st and 2nd. The annual school holidays for Moroccans also begin around this time. If you prefer a more crowded and lively environment, consider this. I think with a little investment in a few key areas, this could be a great beach for all tourists, both local and international.

A beautiful, sandy beach with Morocco's famous mountain views. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, including McDonald's, KFC, and Pizza Hut. There are also plenty of shops for shopping.

Amazing! ✅️ Clean. ✅️ Safe! ✅️ This "easily accessible" beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in North Africa! Highly recommend!

It's a wonderful, beautiful, and clean beach, equipped with everything, including lifeguards. We visited during the last week of April 2025. The weather was fantastic, always sunny and warm in the afternoons and mornings, and cloudy and cool in the evenings. The beach was large and long, with all the amenities, full of cafes, restaurants, hotels, ice cream parlors, and souvenir shops. Most importantly, there were plenty of police patrolling the area for public safety. Young people playing football in some areas might be a bit of a nuisance, but you can easily move away. You feel safe. The nearby mountains add a special charm to the scenery.
